Blanked EGRs

Quick question if both egrs are blanked but one is known to have a fault can this cause other problems with the running of the car especially at idle speeds,as they are still connected into the ecu via the loom

Yes, blanking them just blocks the gas flow, but the faulty EGR (valve) is still online.
