Oil filter have I done it the wrong way round !

Ok. Silly question. Just done oil and filter change. Reference the oil filter I clicked the oil filter onto the top of the engine, making sure it housed correctly. Then screwed down the plastic housing, again heard a click as it went into the housing. The reason I ask is because I’m sure last time I put the filter into the plastic housing first. Just need reassurance that the way I’ve done it is ok. Thanks.

So long as you located the plastic spigot into the hole in the gallery, you should be fine. It's wrong to put the filter in the plastic cover first.

Phew thanks. yes spigot located properly. I must have done it correctly before. A moment of brain fade. I can rest easy and the old girl is now full of fresh Castrol 👍
