2013 D4 Heated Wheel Upgrade

I know this topic has been done to death but something still puzzles me and I've seen no mention of it;

I bought a heated wheel, clock spring, and both switch packs as my previous wheel had neither heat nor cruise control. With everything installed, CCF configured and power at the clock spring, naturally the heated wheel isn't working. No orange or green light, no heat. I do however have a spare plug from the heater module, MY14, with nowhere to go (it isn't the one that goes into the back of the switch pack). Have I bought the wrong setup here or am I blind?

Thanks in advance.

Did this not so long ago…..

That is the power to the heater element I think.

If you look at the loom coming from the car it will have some black tape around it, carefully unpick the tape and the receiver for your plug should be there…… well mine was!

As S60r says, the plug will be WELL taped up just below or to the side of the steering column if I remember correctly... the alternative is to buy a made up cable from the forum shop and connect that to the cigarette lighter feed in the centre console (unless someone on this post has an unused one for sale Whistle )...
 I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Do you mean the loom coming from the clock spring or the loom coming from the vehicle in the steering column? I've already found the spare connecter that's wrapped in foam and plugged it into the column side of the clock spring.

This plug has 4 wires, Black - Red - Double white into one pin.

The heater wheel loom changed in MY14. Could be that you have the wrong MY loom. Where did the wheel come from?

Yes…. I was supplied an entire loom with my wheel…. My puppy ate it! Lol. Luckily I didn’t need it.

What year is your D4 and what year is the wheel and clock from?
