About to buy a 2012 Disco 4 HSE
I've had a Disco 3 for years and done plenty of work on it both myself and via others on the forum. But ss the subject say, I'm about to buy a 2012 Disco 4 HSE.
Does anyone want to talk me out of it?
Any pointers on specific things to look out for? (Already had cambelt service)
Thanks

Nope
As you know with all Discoverys check that all the buttons work and as its a HSE that all the toys work.
And of course, once purchased we will need to see pics (forum rules) Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH

Thanks guys. Bought it! Has had cambelt, lower front arms, new battery. A few of the usual suspects out the way. All toys working etc too.

Here you go
Typically, the day after buying it, I have spotted more marks and scratches than I noticed yesterday lol
It is also not without a problem but that is a separate post

Had to glance out of the window and make sure that wasn't mine there for a sec. Congrats and great colour.
And yes, it's amazing how many dings and scratches show up the day AFTER you bring it home....

Just spotted some more on the school run this morning! Also, and I can't believe I didn't check this when buying, just discovered the seat memory controls are dead. The seats themselves work fine but the buttons on the driver door are dead.

Do the windows switches and switches in the centre (around the clock) work? My 2012 HSE has a wiring fault somewhere in the drivers seat; if I try to adjust the lumber or inflatable side bolsters, about half of the time it will blow a fuse. That takes out the windows, all other seat adjustments and the switches in the centre console (as well as the clock).
Dealer has looked (twice) and can't find a fault, so I just try to avoid adjusting the seat!
Just wondering if it's a common fault that you have too, though I'd have thought you'd have noticed the other switches and clock not working...MY2012 D4 HSE in Siberian Silver, 1967 MGB

Yeah, all other switches seem okay to be honest. Have adjusted the seat in all directions, adjusted mirrors, used the steering buttons (so clock spring looks good). Just have no life in the door buttons for seat memory and central locking.
