Any thoughts….on Oil dripping

Hi all,

Hope everyone’s good?

Just got back from a weeks holiday & left the D3 on the drive, had a quick look around & noticed this underneath the drivers side front. It’s not dripping just a build up. Wondered if anyone could offer any thoughts on what & where it might be coming from!

Cheers

Assuming it is that pic, above that plastic panel, is an inter cooler hose connection, if the jubilee type clip is not fully tightened, oil can seep out of it. As an aside, is that a split in the steering gaiter ?

Hi DN,

Yes that is the correct picture, sorry sure I'd attached it to the original post.

And, yes, that is a split, I'd not seen that! I've very new to this!

Thanks for the heads up!

How easy is it to replace the Steering Gaiters? Replace both at the same time?

The problem changing that gator is that you need to get an alignment done afterwards,
Otherwise the steering wheel won’t point straight ahead. That costs less than £50 though for front.
