Gross weight is 375kg for the "portable" lift. Heavy parts will be the posts + arms at around 170kg each, requiring some muscle and care to move.
There are several advantages if you can fit a full size lift.
Choice of models and suppliers
Full height access
More secure installation
No heavy moving and setup
Minimal risk of damaging pipes an connections Chris

To me, I have a 4 ton two post list, the arms do not look strong enough for a LR when you consider how far apart the arms need to be. The other thing is that it would need some adapters to the pads to lift correctly. Mine has special 4 wheel drive bits that go on the arms. The different in price for a better one might be worth while.
