Exterior plastic black - which brand?

I wanted to spruce up the exterior plastic - what is the best product that doesn't just wash off?

I used t-cut bumpers restorer last summer on all the external plastics. Looked great, and still as black as when I applied it.

If you want a cheap and easy spruce up try "Wood Silk" silicone free polish.

It's around £1 or so (maybe more now).

I've used it on my MY05 after washing and it turns the arches etc black again from the normal "grey".

Spray on to a microfiber cloth, rub over trim, job done. No mess and quick.

OK - not showroom but on my well used 05 good enough.
 I see no ships........

Owatrol is pretty good, lasts a few months as well.

Whatever make you use it will transform the cars looks Thumbs Up

Once you start you quickly realise just how much black plastic there is!

That's very true Thumbs Up

Nothing like doing all the trim then standing back and noticing you missed the sill covers.

are any of these good/no-good for sidestep tops ?

I'd like them shiny but clearly slippy wouldn't be a positive.

No most are silicon based so will be slippery.

Have you tried a hot air gun?

Re side steps, I sprayed mine with Upol Raptor black. I’m really happy with the results - it not only has a grippy surface in the wet but it has an additive that resists dirt build up so the steps remain pretty clean too
