Osram are very good, you shouldn't need to upgrade on a D3, best lights of the range. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Handbook will tell you but I think it's the 35W ones you want.
From other threads I've read, if you can clean the inside of the projector lens you will get some benefit there too. Alcohol and lint-free cloth IIRC but search on here..

At £150 they should be, but they are the best xenons do lose output with age. Cheapest and best upgrade on a D3 is put 100w in the spots. I really miss the spots on the D4 Face lift the only consolation is the indicators are excellent. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Fortunately for the OP, D2S nightbreakers are currently £78.36 + £10p&p, a pair, from Amazon.
Less fortunately for D4 owners, Amazon are asking £144.99 all in, for a pair of D3Ss
Obviously , D3S bulbs cost a lot more to manufacture, package and transport.

Check the auto bulbs direct site. Useful guide, and sometimes some good deals

On performance rather than price I would say the dearer Laser version over the Unlimited type. (XNL rather than XNB code)
Referenced against the legal minimum standard, Osram claim for the Laser type, 200 percent greater brightness, 250m range and a 20 percent "whiter" colour. Corresponding figures for the Unlimited version, 70 percent brighter, 20m greater range and 5 percent colour improvement.
Today the link you quote goes to an Amazon price of £88.36 including postage. They have been cheaper on Amazon so it might be an idea to shop around or put them on a price watch.

I must admit I have been disappointed with "Nightbreakers" in motorbike headlights - the hype was greater than what was delivered. I am just starting to think about changing the D3 ones - so will follow with interest.
