Discovery 3 low pressure fuel problems?

2008 discovery 3 fuel problems.
Hi Can anyone help? Tdv6 engine going into limphome. Basically displays eother p0087 or p2290... been through the usual procedure of checking low pressure system fuel filter etc... ended up with having the following replaced

2 x low pressure fuel pumps
Fuel tank cleaned
Leak off test
New fuel filter ... being a 2008 has the later style fuel filter
New fuel filter housing with genuine filter included.
New return line on tank
New hpfp
Wiring checked on tank and connectors at front of car
New fuel rail with high pressure sensor
Cleaned map sensor
New brake bulbs and switch

Everything shows as ok on live data, high pressure is good and only ever drops AFTER going into limphome

When driving only symptoms are after about 2 miles of driving it will go into limphome and resets when you stop and start engine.

Now after all that on the low pressure side i am getting 0.5bar when engine stopped... idle it drops to about 0.2 - 0.3 and any slightest revving the pressure drops to 0. And on both new genuine pumps i only ever get 2.5 to 3 amps current draw. Even ran the pump off a battery when the tank was out and still never went over 3 amps. I tested the flow rate and in or out of the car i get almost exactly 2.8 l per minute.

Any help or guidance please? Many thanks.

Have you tested the vent for the tank, try driving it with the fuel cap off.

Yep tried that, no difference. When testing i had both return and feed pipes off on top of the engine... should there be the same flow from both pipes at the same time when the low pressure pump is operated?

I had the same symptoms and codes, tried all the same fixes but a replacement HPFP sorted mine.

Is your replacement HPFP new/refurb/remanufacture/used?

You're not drawing anywhere near enough amps so the lpfp is not able to provide pressure under load. Check your wiring, especially the earths, but also all the signal sides as well inc at the relay.
MY 07> wiring diagrams are available here on the forum. You want to see at least 6 - 8 amps minimum, at the very least double your present findings Thumbs Up
