ERGs...again

Hi

My D3 is sluggish pulling away and feels that's theres not much power at other speeds.. I'm driving in manual just to get some power I need. The only other thing I've noticed is when I put the cruise control on the rev counter slightly fluctuates.
Annoyingly I'm on holiday in Scotland and heading to the Isle of Skye tomorrow. I have an amber engine warning light. Ok to keep going? I could call the AA out but not sure what they could do.

Cheers

An amber EML is an advisory, so yes you can drive it. The AA might be able to clear the codes but the fault will reappear after about 4 ign cycles.

Get them blanked when you get home and either cut the shafts inside the valves, or get a software patch as yours is EU4 emissions protocol. Alternatively if you're anywhere near Dundee you could give Disco-Mikey a call. Thumbs Up

Does blanking them off affect MOTs etc? Cars done about 130k and had 3 ERGs to date I think.

Removal does not adversely affect the emissions test so no worries there. The EGR pipes should be put back in situ though as if they are missing this would cause a fail if spotted by the tester.
