More lower tailgate grief & drama! |
|
Mornin all!
Got an odd one here.
Trawled through a few tailgate sagas on here but not found a pointer in the right direction yet. Am open to ideas!
So, Upper tailgate opens no problem. Lower tailgate is however a totaly different ball game.. Press release, no noise. Press release, no noise. Carried on with this for a while then gave the tailgate a few whacks both inside & out & it popped open. Hmm..strip the trim off the door & pop the switch out. No visible issues so test it with a meter. works every time. Clip back onto wire & all good for about 10 presses then stops for a few mins & starts again. OK, Diagnostics on & look at live data. Select switch & actuator. Button registers a signal everytime, actuators work for a bit then stop, then start again...sure you get the picture. Am guessing there is a relay somewhere to operate the lock actuators & that may be playing up. Anyone know if indeed there is a relay & any ideas where i might find it?
Any other ideas about this are most welcome!
