Hello All!
Got an issue with the adjustment of drivers side wing mirror (powered with powerfold).
The adjustment works left/right.. and downwards (a little), but does not adjust upwards.
(also the powerfold works ok).
I've not taken the glass out yet to take a look, but I'm guessing something internal in the mechanism may be broken?? If it is, can the internal mechanism be purchased separately? Or is it a whole new wing mirror job?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

Anyone got any experience of replacing the mirror motor on it's own?
Is it a simple job once the glass is taken out?
Cheers,

Replaced mine last year-Nearside.
The mirror glass does need to be removed, it clips on to the motor head. The clips hold it quite secure and it is pretty straightforward providing you tilt the glass down or up fully. Use your fingers to pull on the edge of the glass firmly and it will pop off. The motor is then exposed, can't remember if it clips in or is retained by a couple of Torx self tappers but all will be clear when the glass is off. No need to remove the mirror body from the car.
To refit the glass, just press it firmly by hand in the centre until you feel the clips engage and double check that it's secure.
The glass has a wiring connector for the heating element. Relocated to Mid France from N. Wales March 2021
