Hi, relatively new to this forum, just bought a nice 2005 SE D3 diesel last weekend from another forum member. I'm just getting acquainted with all the controls & features.... I've had a Disco 2 Td5 for the last four years and the 3 is certainly a massive step up... I was surprised just how much different it is in terms of driving experience
Anyhow, I noticed that the plastic cover on the transmission pan was hanging down slightly under the car, looks like there should be some big plastic screws or similar holding it on ? I've made a temporary repair wth a cable tie. Does anyone have a link or part number for the correct fasteners ?
Thanks in advance..

Hi,
Welcome aboard. I had a similar issue and used captive nuts with my stainless bolts. I got the nuts from ebay, but they should be available at car spares shops etc.

OK great thanks, I also though about using some rubber wellnuts, I'll take a closer look when it warms up a bit and I can get under it.

Mine only had 2 out of 6 fixings. The nuts just slide onto either the vehicle or the cover, dependant on which side it is, cant remember off hand. Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey
