Urgent! Need help about stuck parking brake
My parking brake seems to have got stuck. Have tried to release with the wire but no success.
Seems to be the brake pads in the drums that is stuck. Disco ia located stuck in the forest.
Whats the best solution? Cut the cable get off the drum somehow and remove pads?

If the pulling of the emergency release has not worked (and you are sure you pulled it hard enough?) Then take the rear wheels off (or wheel if you know which side is jammed) and smack it hard with a hammer.

Ok. Im going to try that too. But if not that works either? Guess the brake drum is stuck with
the wire actuated.
Im back home now and collecting some tools to get the disco home.
Are there replacement cables if i cut them or do i gave to buy a new
actuator kit?
The sound of the actuator is terrible by the way...

you need to pull the release cable very hard. Pull really hard.
Don't cut the rear cables. They are expensive and difficult to replace.

Ok. I pulled quite loose. The cable run to stop very easily back and forth. Then i stopped. I should also pull very hard when it seems to stop then

If you straddle yourself between the front seats and place a long screwdriver into the release cable it will be much easier to release, but still requires a good hard pull.
(make sure the car in in P or if a manual place it in gear, otherwise when you release the PB you might find yourself with another problem!)yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

It needs to be pulled so hard you think you are going to break something.
When I needed to release mine last year I looped a large screw-driver through the loop of the cable and give it an almighty pull to the point where you think something is going to break.

just to add my 2p into this... mine stuck on recently and no amount of pulling the emergency release helped - needed recovering and the EPB manually unwinding to sort - hope yours isn't the same but it is a possibility unfortunately and theeeeennn......???

Of course did the emergency brake release release the brake when I pulled harder. the towing guy had already arrived of course.
Though, the brake did a terribly sound as a squeling pig or something...
Diagnose of that?
