2.7 TDV6 ticking noise/rattle on cold startups

Hello,

My 2.7 TDV6 developed some noise (or more like irregular rattle) that is present only on cold startups (it always go away after a couple of minutes of driving).

You can hear the problem here:

What do you think may be the culprit? Can it be the accessory belt tensioner?

This rattle seems to be coming from the front of the car, and doesn't seem to be internal.

Engine: 2.7 TDV6, Euro4 with over 300k miles.

Thank you!

Could be the Aux belt tensioner collapsing they can wear how long since the belt was changed?

Easy one to check just take the belt off and run for a few seconds to see if the noise stops
 Must stop buying shiny toys....

I agree with the above , bet if you remove a couple of things to get a good site of the belt running , you will see excessive movement

Thank you guys for the second opinion, auxiliary belt tensioner was also my bet.

I have no idea when it was last replaced, I have the car for 2 years and and surely didn't replace it.

I'll do it while changing the timing belt kit, since it needs to get off.

Update:

I removed the auxiliary belt today and that random ticking/rattle noise is still present.

It seems to be coming from the camshaft cover, right above the cam chains/tensioners... do any of you had a failed camshaft chain or tensioner?

I think I'll need to replace both chains with tensioners + the oil pump... all along with the timing belt kit.

Search camchain broken, camchain tensioner weak, or words along them lines.
