Disco 3 EGR removal and 2So

Had issues with my 2.7 TDV6 starting , the trend is that when its below 6 degrees it starts fine but runs rough and wont rev until it warms up with loads of white/blue smoke ! Can be like this a few days then once we get a warmer day it starts and runs fine !! Ive ran it for the last few days with 2so in the fuel and today fitted the EGR blanking kit , so far its like a new car ! Runs 100 times better and loads more low down power just hoping it cures the cold start problem (ive ruled out heater plugs as it starts first turn of key) just doesnt seem to like cold weather ! The only other thing i could think of was the EGR but i fail to see this making a difference but only time will tell !

Do a double “Glow” on a cold day

I would still get your glow plugs tested.
it may be only a couple not working and it will still start first time and run but those cylinders may not run efficently until they get a bit of heat in the cylinder.

I think he's saying he has fixed it by blanking.

glowplug problems show up below 0°C,
so if it's starting at -5°C that should be good enough
