Upgrading radio/cd
Thought I would upgrade the cd400 radio in 05 D3 commercial work car as just about had it. Should of some research first I know 🙄 but bought a second hand 565 radio but won’t fit, doesn’t fit together with heater controls . Is there any way round this or could I upgrade the heater controls to match the radio ? It only has the basic air on control panel.

there is a nipple between the two, to keep them together.
Have you loosened the heater panel and then tried to locate the nipple together
and push head unit in
Have look on the underside of both headunits

All panels are DIN 1 and DIN 2 sizing so it should all go together easily unless something is fitted incorrectly or what you are trying to fit is not a DIN 2 size

Thanks for that I’ll have another go this afternoon, also connected all plugs up to test new radio & all switches on & finds radio stations etc but got no volume 🤔🤔 no volume level shows on screen either when turning dial. The radio has an extra plug too which has 2 orange wire which I cannot find in my disco, any idea what these are ?? New radio has Phone prep & Bluetooth So wondering if to do with microphone or the unit is just not compatible with my car as only basic spec. Was told it would work in all models .D4 XS

Sounds like you have replaced the base model radio with built in amp with a premium model one that has a seperste amp under the seat.
The premium and logic 7 units use fibre optics to communicate with the amp under the seat. The other connector is for the fibre optics cable. I dont think you are going to get it to work as the two systems are totally different but it should be easy to replace the head unit with any aftermarket double din unit.
Have a quick look under the drivers seat to see if you have an amp fitted.

Yeah As above.
The green wires are the speaker wires.
You probably want to purchase an aftermarket head unit with Bluetooth.
I don’t think you can covert those to be an amp like the jaguar ones can
