Think they must be, i have looked at new tyres for the last 3 months and these only popped up yesterday..
I'm stuck between getting these or Goodyear Wrangler HPs....08 D3 TDV6 SE

Bought these today, they look good and are fairly quiet on the road which is good. look quite chunky and will be ok off road i think.
But, unbeknown to me they have a M&S sign on them and are rather soft compound, not sure they'll last that long..
Might be on the lookout for some 19's with more road based tyres quite soon.08 D3 TDV6 SE

I’ve never had anything but M+S rated tyres on LR’s over the last 300,000 miles or so and have never had reason to regret it (and a fair few reasons to be grateful for it! ).
The current Michelin Latitudes have a noticeably harder compound than my usual Pirelli Scorpion Verdi’s, yet they seem to be on course to last the usual 35,000 miles or so - so there’s little logic! I’m interested to see how they go. I’ve previously bought a lot of Avon’s, but they only do my current size as a pure road tyre
It’s interesting, looking st the photo, that they’ve embossed a stylised union flag into the Avon logo on the sidewall - finally promoting their British connections, just as they’re closing the UK factory and shipping it overseas. As a matter of curiosity, where does it say that they’ve been made?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

It's curious that there's no sign of where they're made.

After buying UK made Avon tyres, where ever possible, (since the 1980’s) it’s a shame, but inevitable.
For an American owned company, who’ve now shifted manufacturing to China and made our people redundant, the new stylised union flag logo is a bit cynical.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Cooper Tires (yank spelling) based in Melksham, Wiltshire alongside the river at the old Avon factory recently made 600 redundant. There are 300 or so workers left and will be producing mostly motorbike tyres. The factory is old, enclosed by housing, has no space to expand and so is difficult to upgrade which are a few reasons why they are moving out.Dave

Being a mate one of the test engineers, I've been running Cooper weathermaster for the last couple of years and they have worn very well for an M&S tyre.Dave
