Same bulb and an internal shutter switches between low and high.
Std Xenon lamps are one bulb for low beam and another for high beam.
Bi xenons are same bulb for both and in the case of the disco an extra bulb for high beam as well, so in effect you get four headlamps when on high beam.
Well worth some research as theres shed loads to learn as even thought its old its quite a high tech motor.
