Engine seized
Disaster struck today. Cruising along the M1 at about 70mph, when, with absolutely no warning, the engine cut out. Pulled over to the hard shoulder. Engine wouldn't turn on the key. It is a 2007 D3 with 140k on the clock. It has always run as sweet as a nut. Uses hardly any oil. Still on original clutch, and many other items. Oil pump and cambelt replaced by Flack last year.
Got it recovered to my local Indie. He has put a spanner on the crankshaft and confirmed that the engine has seized. He says he can't say any more without doing a full strip down, whatever that means.
Feeling absolutely gutted and not sure what to do next.

That's a real shame and having been in a similar situation in January, I really feel for you. It's a sickening feeling but I hope you are able to get to a viable resolution.Kev

That’s almost exactly what happened to mine except I had 3.5ton on the back
My shells had spun on the crank and blocked the oil feed , engine knackered
