Air bag light codes b1a55-14 and b00d-87 (2c) |
|
Done the usual trawl of forum and
Tinternet...
So previous owner dAmo1978, said light appeared after fixing sat nav unit
And he had codes read which he was told 99% sure it’s passenger seat area...
With this in mind and my own codes read by iid tool
I had a poke about (dvd unit is very loose on floor in its bracket)
Undone nut on multiplug connector on front of seat frame, all connections look normal
CAnnot see anything obvious under squab, so decided to remove it,
Stalled at first bolt as it’s bloomin chewed fs.
Next point of call is the wiring in the channel by a pillar?
And wiring by seat frame
Am I in right direction ? Seen other posts referring to new module under center console required,
On separate note
Hopefully up on ramps Tomoz at my Indy to check out drip from gearbox (breather pipe I hope)

I had the B1A55-14 on the srs module on my 05 it was an internal fault on the module it self..
Sollution.. Replace it, Thats what I had to do.
The faultcode points to the "Crash Record Circuit Sort to ground or open" and this wire goes to a split. the one end of the split ends up in a connector in the A pilar and the other end is connected to the BCU. I did check the wire from the SRS module all the way to this split / splice and no issues.
I cant remember if i did a resistance check or not, I probably did, but I did not find it at fault.
New module from TLO and All good.

Pat@ Gap diagnostics may be able to answer the question, wether a used one can be programmed to your car
