Replacement clips for scuttleboard (plenum chamber cowl)
So, my unending quest for water ingress into passanger footwell led me to look at the cabin filter air intake.
I actually started this about 6-8 weeks ago, and it has taken me this long to get the windscreen wiper blades released!
Got the scuttleboard off, clips all looked pretty manky with worn seals, so figured I’d replace them.
Helpfully, the inside of the cabin filter intake was actually wet, so I fashioned a plastic diverter which I bolted to the front of the air intake, having padded the whole thing out. Hopefully will work.
But, replacement clips ...
Took a look on Microcat and to my utter amazement the clips only come with the scuttleboard as a single unit!
Called Roeans to see if they had any ideas, they are an indi after all, and they had no clue. “Bring a clip in and we will take a look”.
But, I’ve gotten quite well known at the parts department of my local dealership, so gave them a call; logic being that they could ask the workshop guys as no way in hell they would replace the whole thing if they broke a clip.
Again, no clue, but they also suggested to bring one in.
So, off I went and took the whole scuttleboard in.
About 45 minutes they spent looking thru every bin they had, but nothing matched.
Best we could get was part number LR013135
Can’t remember what it is actually for, but it has a bigger rubber grommet that brings it to just about the same height, so may actually improve the seal.
Fits tightly enough, and I guess will see how I get on!

hi
just on the off chance , would these be of any use
I had a problem with leaking water into the passenger footwell after I changed the windscreen scuttle because it had faded. Turned out one clip had not seated properly & therefore the scuttle was slightly raised. I replaced it with a clip I had left over from either a door card or the A post trim.
I'm sure I have one or two somewhere, i'll look tomorrow to see if i can find the part number. I;m sure they were the white clips not the yellow ones.
