leaking intercooler

Hi all been getting a lot of black smoke when I give Peanut some wellie, thought intercooler hoses so swapped them for some shiny silicon ones but while I was under the car noticed a lot of oil at the very front took off the panel found oil along the plastic panel under the intercooler and some oil misting on some of the pipes. Am I right in condemning the inthercooler.

Inter coolers aren’t terribly expensive, with all the gunk you can see outside imagine what it’s like inside you will find a tremendous improvement in performance. It can when others can't,

First dry day all week so thought I'd crack on with fitting the new intercooler 3 hours later done and the ic was definitely the problem. cleared the errors took it for a blast over the tops by me plugged in the IID again no errors

Hi
Was it the source of the leak as I inherited the same oily residue in the same areas when ingot mine 2 years ago
I first thought the rack was weeping as the gator was wet ,tightened the bottom hose seemed to slow it
Still there today I don't loose any PSF so I also thought the intercooler may have a leak
I have no loss of performance at all

It was on mine the bottom of the ic had bowed out the other side was even worse and there was oil on both sides. For £115 and 3 hours

it cured the black smoke when I'd give Peanut some welly and he's is a lot more responsive. Land Rovers don't leak they just mark there spot

I was surprised how small it was the one on my previous TD5 was huge in comparison. Land Rovers don't leak they just mark there spot
