Replaced Bonnet Catch
For the last couple of weeks I kept getting the annoying beep when locking the car and the constant "hood open" warning on the dash.
Last week removed the sensor switch on the drivers side spent time cleaning with WD40 it was full of horrible oil and grease replaced only to still get the beep!!
Decided, as the car is a 54 reg to order a new catch with sensor all in one part, just replaced, installed and took about 5 mins and bingo NO BEEP!!
On the other side and since I have had the car if not properly closed the bonnet will pop up at high speed. So may-be best to completely replace that one also, better safe than sorry!!!
I assume the part for the passenger side is the same as the drivers??? I can't see a sensor on the other side.

You don't need to replace the troublesome catch if it's not quite latching, it'll be full of crud and a simple clean will sort it.
Try this: https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/bonnet-catch-service-160789.htmlMods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails
Make your own Narpy grill thread
I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

I can vouch for that Narpy having read your original post 15 minutes ago and just come back in having cleaned and sorted it. I’d opened the bonnet to check the oil prior to a trip tomorrow and it wouldn’t latch on the near side.
I recalled a thread on here about it, found yours, and now it’s latching fine. Thanks

Comedy was a horse, Harvey a dog, both sadly gone. Thought I was choosing a password!
