Replacement ignition barrel question

Hi all,
It's a long story but I have to change the emergency access lock barrel on passenger door. I can buy a used barrel with ignition barrel and keys. Will just swapping the ignition work or will it need recoding?

I would have thought if you just use the new blade and barrels with the existing fob (Remote) , it should work as you are using the old transponder and remote.

Hi

New on here and just looking at your post. Out of interest were you able to just change the ingnition lock without the need for any re programming?

Have a similar issue whereby i want to change out the ignition lock and emergency N/S door lock but use the original switch and key fob by just changing the key blade?

Hi, You can just swap the barrel on the ignition without the need to recode. It's still working fine today.
