Discovery armrest fridge
Just a quick question does the
Fridge turn off itself as it seems to stay on when I turn ignition off and come
Back unlock car and it’s still on without turning ignition back on and wondering about it flattening the battery of i forget to turn it off

It's supposed to be voltage sending in the D3 and stay on until it thinks battery is low. Found that out when the milk I'd left in was frozen next morning.
Prefer the D4 way of doing things, only on when running.

Is it on a D3? Also was it fitted from factory?

Think of putting one of them units inline you can get with drl that only are
On when voltage is 13v ie when engine is running

I wouldn't waste time with them, in a xenon/led fitter and the premade ones (except osram and philips) like to fail a lot and you will find out the hard way. Get yourself a switched relay it will be a lot more reliable. If you need help with which one I can send you a link
Also did you fit it, i know they're plug and play but ive removed some plug and play bluetooth kits that another "installer" didn't understand and added untold wires for no reason.

Do you know if your fuse box inside the car is the same as the d4? You need to get yourself a constant 12v live. Then check the map for your fuse box and look at what options you have for items that are only powered with ignition, some will seem obvious but worst case get a multimeter on it. Grab a fuse tap as it keeps it tidy and safe with both items fused individually.
I'm not sure what power the fridge pulls as you may be able to just fuse tap an ignition live straight to the fridge.
Don't forget when testing done stay live for a while after car is turned off.

Yes I know
Mate was thinking of putting a relay in and taking a feed from the infortainment relay as that goes off after a minute or two when ignition is turned off that’s what I done with all the gadgets and rear screens
I just don’t like the idea of being able to leave the fridge on as we all know what these cars are like with a half flat batteryDisco 3 gone but not forGotten
