Suspension height setting aid
I've just modelled a tool to aid suspension height setting. I was roughly measuring mine with a tape measure, from wheel centre to wheel arch edge. I wanted something to ensure the tape hook was in the middle of the wheel, so I designed this replacement wheel centre with a flat on the centreline. I will print one later, and see if it works!

Nice one, if u ever decide to print more plse I would be more than happy to pay for one
That must have taken hours in designing that , including inputting it into the pc

If it works, I'll print a set of 4. If you need them, I could post them to you to borrow.
Reality is, it took about 10 mins, but then I've been doing this a long time! Richard

Looks good to me mate and think as a total beginner would have taken me a month of Sunday’s to try and draw that out
Thats Awesome and many thks for such a fantastic offer of borrowing them to set the suspension up, hopefully it will continue to behave after I last set it up
would be extremely handy if u ever decided to sell a set of x 4 as would always be so handy to have as part of our extensive kit
Looks like prices are slowly starting to come down for 3D printers , not that I know anything about them or what model etc
A little while ago a company we’re doing 3D mounted sunvisor clips for the next base dashcams , but alas they simply wouldn’t stay on if u tried to slide the dashcam off , sun-visor wasn’t clipped in so could see how they were mounted
Shame as the concept was very good

Brilliant idea, wouldn't it have been easier to have a slot for the tape rather than the raised boss

I have some extra
Brilliant idea, I have the old set of my rim centers that I removed for new black Land Rover centers, I think a dremel tool adjustment for would serve to make a slot in the middle as you (Mickeyboy) suggested. I doubt he (rrhool) would want to ship me his centers to the US.
Thanks for the idea Mate.
I actually like the idea of the tape end protrusion, looks like it would be perfect for the end of a tape measure. You should patent it and sell them for some "mailbox money." For those of us who are OCD about their suspension heights they/we would pay up for something like this.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

Ground?
Ground? not sure what the ground has to do with it. the measurement is taken from center of axle/rim to the fender flare. I guess you could do it from ground to fender flare, but the manual values are from flare to center of axle.
If you do it from ground to flare other things come into play like tire pressure, ground levelness, etc.
Maybe I misunderstood your post.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

Nice - if you are able to share the STL file I would love a copy.
