Disco won’t rev more than 1000rpm

Hi I’m struggling a little with my disco 3 (as per)
On returning from a trip down to England from home (isle of mull Scotland) I noticed a strong smell of fuel... upon closer inspection the return fuel line of the injector pump had somehow come lose and was dumping fuel out everywhere...
I’d assumed I’d dislodged this somehow when fitting new EGR valves prior to my trip down south some days earlier....
no real harm done a simple push and it’d clicked back into place, quite why this had taken so long to work loose was a mystery but I thought little more of it until starting my engine back up....
my car from cold starts first time every time and doesn’t miss a beat, but it will now not rev over 1000rpm when cold, and once warm will not rev over 2700rpm !? Making it undrivable.
I’ve blead the return fuel valve situated just above the injector pump and have a good strong fuel supply
I’ve checked all the EGR leads and cables..... the pressure sensor on the air inlet between the egr valves has been removed and cleaned....
nothing has worked, and it simple won’t rev enough to drive it but the tickover is sweet as....!?
I’ve had a fault finder on it and has thrown up the code P0403 Exhaust Gas Cuircuit, although the EGR’s are both new...

Any ideas anyone......?
Regards
Shaun.

You're missing two characters from the DTC, generic scan tools tend to report the first four. There's two codes listed for the TDV6, P0403-00 & P0403-19.

Hi

Would it be air in the system, have u checked the Low pressure valve at the back of the engine with a pressure gauge , should be 0.5bar or 7.25 psi

Hope that helps

Do a hard reset
I had the same problem and I only changed the aux belt tensioner

I took the induction pipes off and tried to start it with the map and Mas sensor disconnected causing exactly what you have

It’s something really stupid stick at it and backtrack what you’ve messed with
