Keys Stolen how to replace?
Haven't search deep enough on these excellent pages as am in a bit of a rush, but handbag was stolen today (not mine!!) and it contained the L3 key. I have no idea where my spare one is, so I am going to have to get a new one done. Can any one give me some direction on what I need to do and how it works please?
Many thanks

I'd guess you will have to go to the nearest LR dealer with a copy of the V5 and proof of ownership , you may need to get the car recovered there as well.
Pretty sure this will not be an easy fix.

If there was anything in the bag that can tie the address your motor is parked at, it might be worth considering a change of locks. Would no doubt be a costly job.
Might be worth contacting your insurance company or whoever's bag was stolen might be covered from their house insurance
ok ... I know it's very different on the D4 as there is no physical key blade involved, but are the D3 keys actively paired with the car? so electronic as well as physical key ?
if so, first thing to do would be get the missing key deleted from the car config.
don't want to scare-monger but if the scrote(s) now have your address details and a key for a Disco they may try to steal it too.
edit :
ha !!! I obviously type too slowly.

try using a finger from both hands
find it also helps if you have the tongue out and slightly to one side

I guess i have to have the missing key wiped from the config as you say HW.
What an expensive and tedious Friday.
Thanks

U got an IID? That can reprogramme the new keys to the existing one and in doing so lock out the old one. However the blade will still work in the pass side emergency lock, as said above.

Problem being if your motor gets nicked, you might be on a sticky wicket with your insurance company.
I know that my keys are registered on the ecu.
Key 1 inserted or Key 2 inserted.
Apart from that i can't help sorry.
Regards
Ray

Hope you find the other key.
I ordered a new key/ fob from the dealer after wasting money on autotoolscan replacement fobs and 100% feedbay ebay key fob resellers. I couldn't get the IID tool to reprogramme them.
LR included the key blade already cut from vin info, but it still needed programming............from the data/ codes held in the working key.
Reckon its going to be costly if you can't find your spare key.
there is kit that doesn't need the spare in order to pair a new one with the car. hence my signature strip below ... keys were nowhere near either car that got nicked..
