+1 for retapping the threads in the sills. I couldn’t be ***** to get a correct tap and it made the job a pain. Had to work every bolt in and out repeatedly to clear the threads of paint/muck. A tap would have made the job a breeze. Cheap as chips on EBay, even if you use it for just this job and then bin them.
Thankyou all for your great advice especially Dave, Baz and Stephen for taking the time to photograph your bars . I am going to go with the shire Greg I am in no rush my friend so if you want me to PayPal you the cash and then just get them whenever you are passing and drop them off again when you are passing near to Burnley ( You know there will be Thankyou pies involved )
Just to clarify what tap do I need to buy from eBay ? Thankyou one and all The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

How did you get on with the shire sliders aerialmark, are you happy with them?
Was out laning yesterday and damaged the side steps on the disco, had been thinking of getting some rock sliders later in the year but think I need them sooner rather than later!

If I could not afford a pair of Pro-speed rock/tree sliders what would be your next choice and how much would you expect to pay ? Thankyou
I had the ones from ebay (£260 on there you have to ring them) and who goes round the shows at £200 (though I bought mine second hand).
