I’ve used veg oil and hydraulic oil in my old 300tdi & veg oil in a TD5 with no problems, but would not use it in TDV6 !

New veg oil is pretty much the same price as derv unless you can buy it trade in 20ltr pots.

Many, many, many years back when paraffin was cheap and petrol not so (in comparison), I used to run an old hack of a Lada with the odd gallon or two of paraffin bunged in and the ignition retarded - purely off-road officer.....
Times were hard and needs must etc.I see no ships........

Probably about 10 years ago veg oil was about 1/2 the price of diesel I used often put a gallon or two into an old Mondeo I had, never an issue. When I bought the Discovery the only warning the salesman gave was “They like clean Diesel”
