Meh, its leaking

Wife used the car yesterday and I have noticed 3 or 4 spots on the drive where she has reversed on, (I assume) oil. Had a quick look underneath and its dripping from roughly passenger side foot well - specifically from the rear most lower suspension/steering arm bush (obviously not actually coming from there, but from somewhere above).
Annoying because we are away for the weekend in just over a week, with a bit of off road included... better get someone to take a look.

It'll probably be water from the air con system.

Air con is on all the while unless you manually turn it off. Its it oily to touch?

Ok ... Perhaps it's too far forward of the footwell to be the culprit but can anyone think of something between battery and headlight that starts working this time of year ? Whistle

Could be fuel leak on pipe to FBH , blackened by muck it picks up on way down to the floor.

Very Happy not been cold enough round these parts to fire up yet. It's a fair way from the FBH

I had a similar leak in the same area. Turned out to be coming from a turbo oil feed pipe, they did it under warranty.
You should be able to see it in the wheel arch, they showed me it on a video ! Worth a look

Guy got it on the ramps and took the under tray off. No signs of any leaking from above. I said before that it was dripping from the wishbone bush, but looks like it is actually leaking from the bush. no signs of any fluid dripping from above onto the Bush itself. I didn't realise there was any fluid in there, assumed just rubber type material.

He is going to give me a quote later - what sort of price am I looking at to replace lower wishbone?

Ouch. I have LR Extended warranty, but I suspect it won't be covered, but he said he would try.

Bit of searching, looks like just the bush can be replaced! A few options on Advance Factors.... umm

Did you get this sorted?

Interested as going to need to replace the bushes on the wife’s Disco soon and can’t decide which route to take.
