Could it be anything other than the battery?
I am having difficulty starting at the moment.
I have left the battery connected to my CTEK for several days. This is what a multi-meter shows:
- The voltage read 12.76v with the CTEK connected.
- Disconnect it reads about 12.65v
- Try to start (about 5 seconds of turning over)
- Voltage reads 10.48v
- If I leave it a little longer it starts and the voltage goes up to 15.1v so the alternator appears to be doing its job.
I am assuming the battery has expired but the inbuilt hydrometer still shows green.
Is there anything else I should look at before getting a new battery?

I was told that the built in hydrometer is rubbish on most batteries as the battery sulfates and the green ball sticks in place.
The alternator is working very hard to recharge a battery and could over do it, change the battery before the alternator goes as well.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8
