Am I the only one who can't make out from the manual which relais is supposed to be the one for the markers flashing ?
Have to agree I should be able to test it out, but still, if someone knows ...
or could it be that the one marked 'SM' (R18) is the one I'm looking for ? D4

Out of interest why do you need to remove the relay ?
The Manual wrote:Note: Owners are advised against removing or
replacing the relays (identified as R1-R19 on
the relays) and fusible links (identified as
FL1-FL20 on the fusible links). Failure of any of
these items should be investigated by a
qualified technician. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

There isn't a flasher relay for the indicators - it's done by the CJB switching FET's

thanks TFC,
so it won't be possible to replace the bulbs by LED-ones I assume
althouhg this could be tested by removing one of those bulbs, as such pretending there's one broke ..
worth a try ..
(DG: that was the why-part )
thanks D4

Yes you can as long as they have a 'ballast' resistor to simulate normal loading

I'll stick to my Chimey Bleu so what? Half the world speaks English (including the Jockanese) - doesn't mean they've all been here....

From http://www.superbrightleds.com/carbulb-notes.htmQuote:Turn signal issues with LED bulbs
LED brake/tail lamps will not flash with thermal flasher units due to their extremely low current draw. Also, with stock flasher units, the turn signals may flash faster than normal (Hyper-Flash).
These installations will require an electronic flasher unit, available in our car bulb shopping category (for some vehicles) or at your auto parts store. Try to find flashers designed to work with LED bulbs, they will say "LED compatible". Often HEAVY DUTY flashers will also work with LED bulbs.
We offer some LED Flashers in our Tail/Brake Turn Signal Bulb category but we do not know which one (if any) will fit your vehicle. You will have to compare the pin-out of your flasher with the pin-outs of the flashers we offer, to see if we have a match, BEFORE you order one. Sorry but we do not have a flasher application list or the expertise to tell you which of our flashers will fit your vehicle.
Another fix is the installation of Load Resistors which are wired across (in parallel with) the turn signal bulbs to simulate the load of a standard filament bulb. We also have these available in our car bulb shopping category.
Not used them, just the first reasonable response google spit out....
