knocking and sqeaking from front end... |
|
doing some "light" off roading at the weekend and i noticed that the front end was "slopping " about a bit and was producing knocking noises... back on the road it was barely noticible, but the suspension did seem to be sqeaking??
my loverly disco has 81k on her... and seems like something has worn out?? could this be a roll bar bush or something more sinister?? to be fair the local stealer is having it in under warranty for a look next week, just wondered if anybody else has had this issue? i'm lovin it....

Mine was the same at about the miles you mention. I had new steering rack, roll bar bushes and lower wishbones. Its very quiet now, no knocks at all.
Best to get it done before warranty expires, as I reckon that shopping list would be a bit pricey otherwise.

Bottom ball joints. Nore than likely, N/S/F, as that side wears out quicker than the O/S for some reason...
