IID Tool PC Interface Screenshots

Hi,

I'm pondering an IID Tool (non BT) but would want to use it with the PC based interface rather than the cars LCD on the dash (MY07 D3).

I've spent a couple of days scouring the net & various forums but found nothing. Can any kind member provide a couple of sample screen shots of typically what it looks like when connected & used through the PC interface?

It's been suggested it look similar to the android / ios app but i'd like to see for myself before committing.

I've registered with Gap & downloaded the IID tool updater which i believe contains the interface, but of course without the tool itself for it to connect to it doesn't give much away!

Hope you can put my mind at rest Smile

Cheers

If you have a smart phone I would really consider the BT one.

So handy if you are out and about and find out why some dash warning is on Rolling Eyes Laughing and clear it

Here you go:

That is a screenshot from my PC.
You can select the IID's features by clicking the 4 points with your mouse and the codes etc. appear in the centre where it says "Click Here To Connect" which is also where the options + tree etc. appear.

That's all it does, there's no bells and whistles like on the BT version but it does make it 100% easier to use.

Looks like this when connected:

I tend to scroll through the options with the arrow keys on the keyboard and use Enter as select because I can never remember what side flag does what. Rolling Eyes

A quick search found this thread which also shows the interface plugged in:

Hi,

What did you buy in the end?

How did you get on with it and is it easy to use for somebody that has never used one before?

Cheers

Hi,

I went for the Bluetooth version in the end. I've only had it a couple of weeks so i'm still getting to grips with it, but it's certainly a powerful tool.

I'm just happier with having the graphic interface displayed in a nice size on an Ipad pro that i can walk around the vehicle with rather than being tethered to the integrated interface of the vehicle.

That said, i'm sure the standard version is just as capable & of course is a few quid less, but it's personal preference.

Thumbs Up

Cheers, BT for me then. Any supplier recommendations or site sponsors to support?

I have started a preventative maintenance list in one of threads. Which I will use to try and keep on top of the car and one of the members said to get an Iid tool. Which makes a lot of sense.

I can see the D3 is going to have to be a "hobby" to keep it going. I am in France so no Indies here and you don't see many D3 on the road here.

Thanks for your feed back.

Gray

M3DPO has just got back to me on this. A big thanks to him.
