Hopefully the point has got across to all the idiots who do this then. There are far too many budding tank drivers dicing with other peoples lives.

Staged in what way? I can't see any hand prints from the officers adding snow to the windscreen and patting it down? Rolling Eyes

Staged, as in there are 4 garages on that stretch of road. Perhaps it was staged as a warning, given how much snow we have had Rolling Eyes

I’m also a tad sceptical, if that car had been driven then it would show some grooving in the snow on the bonnet.

Plus the snow over the doors would be disturbed if the driver’s door had been opened. I know that snow is magnetic and if not cleared above the door to be opened it will all end up on the seat. Shocked The lack of snow on the RHS of the car could easily be as it’s been sitting in the sun.

^^^ If so, he would have been driving the car from the outside with the window wound down slightly.

Ah - those were the days! Going up the A9 to Inverness in January in a Series II Ambulance with passenger and I both clutching a plastic card to keep scraping ice off the windscreen - the inside that is!

Irrespective of people’s suggestions that the police are lying and have not charged someone with this incident of stupidity.

Only someone with less than two brain cells can see that driving a vehicle on a public road like this is downright dangerous and unfortunately it happens a lot and there are no police around to stop them from potentially causing a fatal accident. Doesn’t matter where geographically it happens or how much snow has fallen it’s dangerous. Rant over off to work know to deal with more idiots who think it’s ok to come into my work with a face mask sitting below there nose but that’s another rant for another day.

Stay safe out there folks you don’t know when you might meet the next idiot who could end your life Wink Laughing

I see a car covered in snow sitting on a road that has been cleared of snow. How did it get there if it was not driven there?
