I thought indicator bulbs were an extra when you specced a BMW New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

^^^^^ R8 Rover 200/400 if I'm not mistaken. And it is an indicator too (look closely at symbols) as first few years didn't conform to ISO lighting standards as Honda/Japs had their own way of doing it
wasn't it (some) UK manufacturers were out of sync with RoW ? think my Hillman had indicators on right stalk.

Around late 80's (Hillman ended 1976?) ISO standards were coming in (not mandatory) for symbols, lighting and switches, etc. and most moved to LH indicator operation but most Japanese cars retained RH indicator for many years on.
Driving 1000's of miles a month I found RH indicators were much more efficient for eating sarnies and drinking coffee on the go

SWMBO's 2008 Hyundai Getz has a RH indicator switch. So did my 2004 Isuzu Trooper!2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Why not have the left hand indicator on the left hand stalk and the right hand indicator on the right hand stalk... now that would make sense ! I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
