My injector wouldn't budge! It was gummed up and glued into its mounting!took more than a wiggle with a socket! I had to keep disolving the gunk with solvent and I used a long drift and hammer to get the right angle to hit it, just on the casting of the inlet pipe before it would finally move ! Then I could move it it with grips and my homemade slide hammer!

Hi,
I am in the process or removing my injector on my D3, but how do people get the metal pipe off? Ive tried long nose pliers and still wont come out of the old injector.
Thanks

Do you mean the leak off pipe?
Your description is a little vague.

Self gripping forceps are excellent for refitting the leak off pipe clips, they just love to ping off and get lost!

You could also try using some hydraulic oil Soak it in the oil and then let it run for some time, utilizing lynalldiscoverys towel trick. Best of luck
