Things aren't made to last.....
My 35 year old, much repaired, kettle has just decided enough is enough..... Filled it water, put it on to boil and continued to do other things, heard the "not quite boiling noise" which give me about half a minute to sort out mug etc. then a loud bang, and the kettle instead of letting out steam was emitting smoke, second bang and fuse blew. Waited for smoke to clear and inspected the damage - the heater in the base has attempted to escape and has burnt up the plastic that retrained it. Now, no coffee, instant soup or indeed any other hot drink until I get a new kettle. Will the new one give such long service? I somehow doubt it.
(btw coffee made with plastic smoke infected water tastes )Rob Smith

At least KF were going to fit a matching Michelin !
Forgot to say that Mrs C offered to buy another tyre for her own peace of mind and the reply was "can't do that, you are not allowed to fit your own tyres to the car".

I still shoot with my old Manton & co side by side from 1872. It's one of a pair made for Lord Curzon, Viceroy of India. Sadly it's not a Joseph Manton. Also, I think I'd be better throwing it at the clays than shooting with it.
Lovely looking thing though. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)

Stereo/amp decided to not work. Head unit doesn’t change radio channels anymore but the bus seems to be ok since the satnav display works as does the phone integration since it shows calls and such on the radio. Also CDs can be ejected and inserted, etc.
