may i ask do u guys refit the cover back on please
as the top cover is such a pain being in the way when trying to get it back on was wondering if it's ok to leave it off
or must it go back on plse
seen some air compressor guards but they are silly money
thks as always
id recommend you put it back as not only does it protect from being damaged it suppresses the sound making it less noticableRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

well there's me thinking i can wait till the spring, but my compressor has other ideas
put the iid on and got the following message
C1A13-64 (2C) Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure
read up on here and it seems it's the exhaust vent blocked , on a hitachi pump
trouble is how the hell do u get it out please ,
have got the rebuild kit and new piston seals, exhaust bolt etc, just waiting for the pushfit connectors
is it safe to use a blow lamp , but am concerned as its aluminium will cause more damage , or maybe a paint stripper hot air gun
soaked it in wd40 , it will get a can of plusgas
did hear about using the tip of a soldering iron to try and free it off , but worried i may do some damage
tried a socket but has rounded off
wondering can u drill it out or would i end up in a world of hurt
just wondered how the hell u managed to get it out please
thks so much in advanced
i would say that the not venting is more to do with the dryer beads being blocked this stops the air from venting open up the dryer and have a look inside before going any furtherRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

think i may not be able to repair it due to these collets
but thought if i get a new one at least all the suspension will be done and dusted

10mm collet obsolete trick
know i'm fitting a new compressor but refuse to throw away my old hitachi pump all for an obsolete 10mm collet
had a look and could see it had a brass sleeve
so thought i would give it a go
can now then get a male to pushfit fitting to go onto the ends and rebuild the rest at my leisure
assume it's been done before , but on the off chance wished to share what i did

yes I did and all new seals as well if the orange light does not come on then the system works fine even to levelling when we get out like it should ?
after a few days orange light has gone off and not come back leaving for days
