Replacement Front Brake Options |
|
Hi guys
I need to replace the front rotors and pads on my '05 D3 TDV6. I know know these get chewed through camparitively quickly, and I'm just wondering what the preferred options are these days? Most of my driving is a daily commute involving a mix of suburban and country roads and a lightly laden vehicle, however I will also be doing a bit of heavy towing on the odd occasion. Cost is a factor, so am I best to stick with genuine LR brakes, or is there a better / cheaper aftermarket option that is proven to yield good performance and longevity?
I'm in NZ, so not all options may be available in our market?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link. I've done a bit of reading in the topic of upgrading to the V8 discs and it seems like the way to go. Freight might be the killer though... 2016 LR4 3.0 SDV6 HSE
SOLD: 2005 LR3 2.7 TDV6 HSE

Add the v8 brakes to EBC Greenstuff pads and you have some pretty decent brakes for not a lot of money.
Im sure you can buy all the parts from your local l/e parts supplier? so no need to import it.
