[For Sale] Land Rover Defender Storage Box with 12v electric
Brand New Land Rover Defender (or Series 3) Cubby Storage Box, which has a very useful set of 12v electrics added to it!
I was going to build a few of these, but to be honest, not sure if they'll 'take' so thought I'd try it on here first to see if any interest - I've cleared this with Martin and may also list eventually on the Defender forum
It may also work with a Series, but depends if the middle seat is no longer there
I'm not sure if there's a huge need for this kind of thing, but it's based on a cubby box for a defender/series and has been added with a 12v socket. Full details include:
- 12v twin USB Socket
- Std 12v Socket
- 12v Voltmeter
- 12v Switch
1st two pics show it wired, but the red LED's do not show up well in the photo, but all works as it should

Also included is the fitting kit for your land rover

I don't have a defender, but this is an image of a similar box without sockets so you get the idea

Dims are: Height 26cm x Width 27cm x Depth 49cm
This is the first time I’ve made one of these, but I’m using the same methods used in my Discovery 12v panels, but now looking to try defenders. Only one available at present, but I plan to make more in the near future
You can now charge your phone while driving around as well as running a couple of other electrical items from the sockets. The positive and negative cables run out the underside of the box, allowing you to attached to your power source (includes a fuses cable)
I was thinking £120 inc postage, but as this is my first would be looking for £100, if you are happy to take a few pics of it once fitted, so I can then use these for when I make more
Let me know if you have any questions
Edit: meant to ask.....let me have your thoughts as well, good idea, looks daft, too much, good or bad, happy to hear them all
Cheers

I'm about halfway through building one from scratch. If I'd have known you were offering them....
I'm going to add a set of 6 carling switches in mine as well, Mud Stuff and Mobile Centre sell a 6 gang holder which should look quite neat. Not quite sure what I'll use all 6 switches for yet.
