This isn't a major issue (I hope) as it has only happened a 3 times and not caused me much problems but id like t find out more info about it.
So it pretty much has happened all for the same reason each time. I pull up/park and turn the engine off, I then realise I can tuck my car in a little more or move it slightly forward so I turn on the key/ignition within say 30 seconds max of turning it off and it wont start.
The first time it happened I went to the post office came back within five minutes turned the ignition and it started up fie.
Secound time I went to the shop and came back again within a few minutes and it started up fine.
Third time same thing it started up within a few minutes.
It would only have been a problem if I needed to pull off straight away but as I had a few minutes to spare and it started up fine each time I came back it wasn't an issue.
It is definitely there. Something is up.
Any idea guys.
Thanks.

Possibly low pressure fuel pump (in the tank) is failing.

I used to get something similar ever so infrequently on my D3. Did absolutely nothing on a turn of the key. Just left it a couple of seconds and turned the key again and it started.Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
That's why I asked. In my case solved by fixing the corroded splices in the ns sill loom.

Hi.
No. It doesn't turn over/start at all. I tried around 4/5 times and dead. Leave it a short period and it's fine.
What is the sill loom, is it an easy repair and any more info on DIY?
Thanks guys

You really need diagnostic data to understand what is going on as there are so many different causes. They can be as easy as a simple mechanical issue (such as the gearbox linkage or ignition barrel) through to more esoteric issues (such as CJB, PCM, IPC, wiring issues etc).
