A battle of epic proportions is planned...
So.. with our D3 approaching it's 11th birthday; it's almost time to do a full suspension rebuild in a couple of weeks when I have some time off. It has had various arms etc replaced over the years from time to time but the whole driving experience has got a little.. 'woolly' recently so those nice chaps at Advanced Factors have sent me this little lot:

All 8 arms associated links, ARB's and rear knuckle bushes and steering rods and links
I also have four of these to rebuild into the airsprings and save me getting bored whilst it's all in bits
I am expecting to fully utilise this :
and this... ( a lot! )

and probably these
maybe even try and work out how to use this set of thingyamybobs too:
this will probably need emptying several times
but hopefully won't be needing these
will update with pics when it's all done, just off to buy some lucky charms....
and theeeeennn......???

Your hammer is to small...
Did this job some months ago and it was not fun and took me much longer time than anticipated. The bush removal/fitting kit worked nicely for the rear hub knuckle bushes but if the bolt is stuck in the bushing (in my case both sides upper) you really need your Land Rover tool no 1, the BFH.

For the front and rear upper arms you need to remove brake lines/hoses. For me there was no chance to remove them in a controlled way. Salt and time had transformed them to homogenous packages of rust. I had to order new hoses and lines before I dared to start with the arms (daily driver). Just a tip.

I'm too tight for that Paul to put it in perspective; all that stuff is roughly equivalent cost-wise to four months depreciation or finance/lease cost on a newer one isn't it? And just think of all that fun I would miss out on doing all of the work.. on my drive, probably in the rain
and theeeeennn......???

Interesting to see how you get on with the Bilsteins. They had a reputation for leaking. maybe the issue has been fixed.
Just the bushes will transform the ride though. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
