Hi all, hope someone can help,
Driving home yesterday, the clutch pedal wouldn't fully return to its normal hight. The clutch is not slipping and i can change gears as normal, and i can lift the pedal to its normal hight by putting my foot under it and lifting. The pedal was staying about half way down. Do you think it is the clutch or a pedal return spring etc.
Many thanks,
Andi.

Not that i know, the DMF (i think) rattles a bit if i partially press the clutch pedal, but it always has.
Thanks for the reply

To continue the saga,
Clutch pedal now completely down on the floor, in fact, moving it with my hand, it dosent feel conected to anything. The fluid was slightly down so i have topped it up to max.
So questions,
If the slave cylinder has gone, would i be loosing fluid.
If the master cylinder has gone, presumably it would be impossible to bleed the system, but no fluid loss would occur.
If the slave cylinder has gone, would i still be able to bleed the system, but obviously, the clutch would not release.
Any help appreciated
Andi.

If you have not lost fluid and cant see any either under the car or around the slave/master cylinder then you may have a broken pedal so try and look up where it attaches as no loss then look else ware Discovery 3 se gone

Thanks for the reply
I have had a look at the pedal area, no fluid, but then its not really dropping in the reservoir. also the symptoms have been on and off for approx' a week, therefore i dont think the pedal is broken, because that would presumably be a sudden failure, its more as if a seal was going and has now gone if that makes sense.

So its not possable for a seal to fail on the master cylinder and it not leak fluid.
