Front suspension arms

Hi all,

My Discovery is getting a bit squirrelly when I brake and the outside edges of my tyres are getting worn so I guess the front suspension bushes are getting tired. Is it usually only the lower arms that need to be replaced or is it best to do upper and lower?

Cheers, Tony

Normally just the lowers but being 2005 and if not been done before it would be worth doing the uppers at the same time there not hard to do Thumbs Up

Your issue could be brake related as well so worth checking them Thumbs Up

Thanks. Makes sense. I don't think it is the brakes but i will check them better.

I can see marks where the back end of the bushes have been rubbing on the the chassis... made me think it was the the problem!

Cheers

when you say the uppers are not hard to do, what about that awkward nut to get to Just behind the air bag? Any tips would be great as I am about to under go this task my self, uppers & lowers together.

Ah right thanks, I just hope it is as easy as you say. I must admit that nut has been on my mind. Wish me luck

you mean the nut and the bolt behind the airbag?

you have to take the splash cover / inner wheel arch out. As those nuts and bolts were not exposed to rain, water, mud etc., they should come off easy.
