Front Fogs Misty
Hi,
After someone reversed into my Disco I bought a replacement bumper which has just been painted. Because mine never had fogs I have bought parts to retro-fit. However the front fogs I bought have arrived somewhat misty. Is this something I can fix with opening, polishing and precision sikaflex?
Thanks,
Andy

Hi
Do I need to break a seal to strip them down? I haven't had a good look at them yet. Else will they come apart from the other side?
Cheers,
Andy

Measure the adjustment screw point.
Then take apart. Reflector comes out, Put to one side and clean the rest with warm water and soap, then dry in the sun
Theres also a small vent plug which often get blocked with grime. It can be taken out and cleaned, then dry thoroughly before reassembling. After I did this to mine they nolonger fogged up - but I'm sure I put a thread about this on here some years back, might be worth a search as I think it has Photos.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Take bulb out of back, poor in some alcohol, give it a shake then dump any surplus liquid and let the rest evaporate before putting bulb back in.
Not everything is difficult.
