CTEK MXS 25 to CTEK Comfort Charger Plug?

Hi,

I have a CTEK MXS 25 which is, obviously, very good. The only problem with it, is that you have to connect the crocodile clips directly to the terminal on the battery, rather than using something more convenient like a CTEK Comfort Connector, Anderson Connector, or towing electrics adapter like this one in the DISCO3.CO.UK shop:

http://www.disco3.co.uk/shop/tow-electrics...c-p45.html

Does anybody know if there are any mods you can do to an MXS 25 that will give me more connectivity options or do I need to buy another CTEK charger that is compatible with the CTEK Comfort Connectors? Rolling Eyes

Thanks,

Steve

The mxs25 produces too many amps and will probably fry the comfort lead. I have a mxs10 (as well as a 3.6. a mxs 5 and an old 7000) to go with my 25 and they'll take the lead which I usually use through the tow electrics

Here you go from a post in that topic by Ade

Ctek .. I cut the main lead in half .. And connected some Anderson connector to each end ( and a small 2 way plug for the thermometer )

Best of both worlds as I can clip them together and it's back to standard .. Or I have another lead that I can connect to ..and the other end fits the Anderson on the D4

Anyway you get the gist ... And no you don't need the thermometer connected for it to work

Does anybody know if it's possible to make an Anderson to 13 pin towing loom to achieve the same as this? Or does the problem of too many amps through the towing electrics remain if I did that?

Thanks,

Steve

The tow socket it fused at 15 amps.

And LR wiring designed for no more than this.

Do you really need such big CTEK's ?
