Air suspension compressor replacement - brass inserts
2007. Just bought Hitachi compressor and install kit from Island4x4. Install kit includes new terminal end with 90 degree angle of the two tubes at the rear end of compressor, and quick fit connectors. There are two brass inserts for each tube. Do these go to the quick fit end of cut tube and the new tube? Then what about the compressor end of the new tube - no brass insert needed here? Or do I have to get the out of the old unit where I cut the tubes?
Any advice appreciated!1951 Series One 80" 1600cc Deep Bronze Green

There are two brass inserts/supports included for each tube with the 90 degree angle. I assume these will support each side of the quick fit connectors. There should be one more for each tube to fit to the compressor end?
The longer tube is not needed as new compressor comes with it. The threaded brass thing I don't know where to fit.1951 Series One 80" 1600cc Deep Bronze Green

I agree, if the angled tube requires support for the quick fit connector then it needs the support for the end the goes into the compressor - which has them already and which you would expect to leave in old compressor with cut pipe. Could you use the brass inserts that are in the compressor fitting that you remove? But not ideal - seems like oversight in kit.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
